In third grade won first place for an essay she wrote on what her home means to her. In it she wrote, " My home means to me safety, food and water, and a warm bed. When I'm home I can be free. I can eat dinner with my family and run and play with my brother, and play with my rat."
Embarked on her first ever trip to Disneyland
In fifth grade won the President's Award for Educational Achievement.
Embarked on her first trip ever to San Diego, California visiting Sea World, The Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Lego Land, and Knott's Berry Farm.
Landed on the honor roll in her first trimester.
Embarked on a one week journey to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Her Eulogy
with eyes closed for the final time, tomorrow will not be
i'm free of pain and suffering so do not weep for me
no tears, no sadness do i feel, my spirit's so happy
go on and live each day ahead, and know i've been set free
the beauty here is ecstasy, no need to grieve nor carry on
i'm still alive though you can't see, i'm home where i belong
Tasia always tried to be a friend to everyone and kind to anyone she met. She was very respectful of others feelings and was never judgemental. She loved to joke around and had a fondness for sarcasm.
She deeply loved all of her family and enjoyed get togethers. She especially adored her brothers, playing with them, reading to them, etc.
Tasia welcomed all that life had to offer her, never afraid to experience anything new. In fact she hungered for it,and was grateful for all she had experienced. She had a refreshing and mature outlook on life, able to achieve her own point of view and never afraid to discuss it, while intensely listening to others as well.
Tasia loved family vacations and trips. We often went camping, explored new towns, went to California frequently, and she was very proud to have gone to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
She loved gardening and houseplants and created a terrarium with her passion, carnivorous plants. She enjoyed cooking, creating new recipes, and selling vegetables at the local farmer's market.
Tasia enjoyed working with her hands, crocheting, using her glue gun, anything that allowed her to use her creativitiy, especially cooking with as little ingredients as possible.
Tasia was very passionate about music, excelling in both piano and guitar. She also loved Judo and was just about to start competing. She was very active, playing basketball, riding her bike, skiing, taking walks with the family.
Tasia adored scary movies, much to the slight dismay of her stepmother, who always seemed to give in and go see them with her.
Tasia alwasy kept the importance of her education at the forefront. She was sponsored by her teachers for a seminar at school for advanced math challenges. She was also very active in D.A.R.E.
Tasia was an exceptional friend, daughter, neice, sister, grandaughter, and cousin. Each time she said " I love you", you believed it with your whole heart. She will be greatly missed.
